As reported by Reporter 24, Timor is an undeveloped tourist island, so it was not easy to buy a convenient plane ticket or find accommodation.

– East Timor is a unique level of exoticism in the pursuit of a total solar eclipse. A distant, beautiful country, joyful people and a beautiful beach in Beaco, where after eight hours of a bumpy road, together with a hundred Timorese and a handful of tourists in a cloudless sky, I could see this beautiful phenomenon. Eighth time. The magic of nature, the magic of people, the magic of a place. A surprise on the spot – the Ministry of Tourism organized a tent with local dishes. About 200-250 Timorese and about 50 tourists came to the meeting in this particular place – reported Mr. Maciej.

As he emphasized, the observation of the sky could be hindered by clouds. – The chance of a successful eclipse today was 50 percent. That’s why some chose Exmouth, Australia, where the sky is clear at this time.
