– For me it is obvious that there is a conflict between Touchstone and Lewandowski. It's visible – said Marek Koźmiński in an interview with the WP SportoweFakty portal, recalling the situation from the match between Poland and Croatia (3:3), which the striker started on the substitute bench.
Touchstone commented on the alleged conflict with Robert Lewandowski. He criticized Koźmiński
Touchstone was a guest on the air on Wednesday RMF FMwhere he was asked about Tuesday's Champions League match between FC Barcelona and Benfica. – I watched it, and I must admit that I haven't seen such a meeting for a long time. (…) I keep my fingers crossed for Wojtek, as well as for Robert – he said. And suddenly he decided to refer to “media reports”. – I didn't want to bring it up, but if someone brings up this topic again, I'll say it again: I have no conflict with Robert Lewandowski. And to make the matter clear – he said.
The host of the program noted that the reports are really strong and fans are worried about the alleged conflict. – One person said this, who is generally not interested in football. It's hard to deny such things, said Probierz. The journalist couldn't believe these words. – The former vice-president of the Polish Football Association is not interested in football? – he asked. – More like business – he heard.
What will the future of the Polish national team be like without Lewandowski? Touchstone says it straight
– Are you already thinking about what will happen after Lewandowski? Isn't this the moment yet? – asked the presenter. – This moment is still there. The staff is always developing. We change the generation, we change people. As we recall, in 2016 there were practically 10 players from the starting lineup in the Champions League. As for today, these players are getting used to it, Probierz replied, smoothly changing the topic.
However, the journalist continued Lewandowski's story. – How long will he be crucial for the Polish national team? – he asked. – It seems to me that a player with such conduct, who is aware of what he is doing… He scores goals, is in good shape. Even if there are any crises, which is the natural course of things, I believe in him and he knows it, he said.
So does the coach doubt that there will be a “generation gap” at any moment and there will be no one to replace Lewandowski? – Let's remember that there is a group of players, including: Krzysiek Piątek, who scores goals regularly, I know him very well. There is Karol Świderski, Adam Buksa… Filip Szymczak will start playing – he continued.
– Let's remember that Robert Lewandowski is not born every generation. He is special. They ask themselves the same question in Portugal about Ronaldo and in Argentina about Messi. (…) Everyone would like the 18-year-old Pole to score 30 goals in the top league and play in the national team – just like Yamal. But he is one and many countries would want him, he concluded.
