A vacationer has died after falling into the ocean in Tenerife.

It is believed the 53-year-old man was attempting to take pictures of giant waves throughout a storm in Puerto de la Cruz on Wednesday afternoon.

Footage posted by the emergency companies confirmed an air ambulance trying to rescue him as water crashed on the shoreline.
