Trade Sundays: From February 1, 2025, they apply new Recipes. The ban on trade is now valid every Sunday except: “Three Sundays preceding Christmas Eve, Sunday immediately preceding the first day of Easter and the last Sunday in January, April, June and August”.
When is the trading Sunday in 2025? A total of this year Eight commercial Sundays. The first was on January 26, and the next ones will be in the following days: April 13, April 27, June 29August 31, December 7, December 14 and December 21. It follows that in March, May, July, September, October and November, galleries and large stores will be closed in all of them Sundays.
Exceptions: The act includes 32 exceptions. Trade on Sundays is possible among others in florists, at petrol stations, in pharmacies, confectioneries, press stores, duty -free zones and devices with devotional and souvenirs. Payments about “postal activities are also exempt from the ban on trade, if revenues from this activity constitute at least 40 percent of the sale of a given institution”.
The act went to the Constitutional Tribunal: Andrzej Duda, who at the end of December 2024 signed the amended provisions on free Christmas Eve, and also decided to direct the amendment to the Act on non -working days to the Constitutional Tribunal in subsequent control mode. The president had reservations regarding the introduction of the third, additional Sunday working in December for trade workers.
