Triathlon Eire has stated its officers didn’t sanction a swim race by which two opponents died.
The boys, of their 40s and 60s, got into difficulty in separate incidents in the course of the swimming leg of the Ironman occasion in Youghal, Co Cork on Sunday.
Triathlon Eire chief govt Darren Coombes stated officers didn’t sanction the swim race resulting from “adversarial situations on the day”.
