SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — A possible tropical cyclone moved throughout the western Caribbean on Friday, knocking out energy to 1000’s in Jamaica because it unleashed landslides and floods, authorities stated.

The disturbance was positioned about 50 miles (85 kilometers) southwest of Montego Bay, Jamaica with prime winds of 35 mph (55 mph). It was shifting northeast at 16 mph (26 kph), based on the Nationwide Hurricane Heart in Miami.
