Trump reveals a plan for mutual duties. The European Union is in the list

President Donald Trump On Thursday, he revealed a road map regarding the application of mutual duties to every country that imposes duties on imports with USA. According to the White House, economic and national security will be strengthened thanks to mutual Bigs.

– Clinics will not come into force on Thursday, but they can begin to be applied within a few weeks, because the Trump team for trade and economy is investigating bilateral trade and tariff relations – said the White House official to reporters during teleconference.

The administration will first deal with issues, which it described as “the most glaring”, including countries with the highest commercial surplus and the highest customs rates.

– Trump's mutual duties will correspond to the higher customs rates taken by other countries – said the White House official. They will also be aimed at counteracting non -tariff trade barriers, such as bothersome regulations, added value taxes, government subsidies and exchange rate policy that can create barriers to the flow of American products to foreign markets.

Among the countries at which these activities are aimed, are China, Japan, South Korea and European Union.

Before announcing the decision, President Donald Trump announced the introduction of a new round of extensive mutual duties, responsible for higher rates taken by other countries for importing American goods, in a post published in Truth Social – his own social platform.

“Three wonderful weeks, maybe the best in all, but today is the great: Mutual Tariffs !!! Full America is wonderful again !!!” – Trump wrote in a post published during the day on Thursday.

As CNN indicates, the mutual duties were one of the main assumptions of the Trump campaign – his method for equalizing bills with foreign countries that impose taxes on American goods, and to solve what he thinks is dishonest trade practices.

“Simply: if they burden us, we'll weigh them down,” Trump said on Sunday, explaining why he intends to introduce mutual duties.
