Trzaskowski at Stanski: I am against the adoption of children by homosexual couples

Civic Coalition candidate Rafał Trzaskowski met with the non -party candidate for president Krzysztof Stanowski. Among the topics of the discussion included, among others, adoption of children by same -sex couples, migration policy and war reparations from Germany.

On Thursday, the conversation lasted for over two hours Rafał Trzaskowski and Krzysztof Stanski on the Zero channel and on the YouTube channel of the Citizens' Coalition candidate.

Both candidates declared that they were against the adoption of children by homosexual couples. Stanowski mentioned that in the past in sports environments he was called “rainbow Krzysie” because – as he said – he defended the rights to partnerships for same -sex couples.

However, he admitted that he has a “grinding with the rights to adopt” children by homosexual couples. Trzaskowski answering the question when there would be a moment to “slightly press the brake when it comes to LGBT+law”, he admitted that he is also “an opponent of adoption” children by homosexual couples.

Stanowski asked the Citizens' Coalition candidate about the situation from the debate in Końskie, when in mid -April the candidate supported by PIS Karol Nawrocki put a rainbow flag on the rostrum of the KO candidate. Trzaskowski replied that “PiS is obsessed with gays” and hidden the flag. Shortly later, she was taken over by the candidate of the new left Magdalena Biejat and stated that she was not ashamed of her.

– I decided that I really don't have to prove anything about this – said Trzaskowski. He admitted that it was a mistake and added that the candidate of the new left showed a great reflex, taking over the flag from him.

“It was a mistake that I didn't say clearly, that it was neither a matter that someone was ashamed of flags or I am ashamed of her.” I think that we will all fit under white and red – he said. He also assessed again that “PiS has a total obsession with sexual minorities and gays.”

Trzaskowski: We must have a closed border and the right to asylum suspended

Civic Coalition candidate asked about his independence from the Prime Minister Donald Tuskhe assured that there would be no conflict with the prime minister in this field. – Tusk knows the prime minister's prerogatives, I know the president's prerogatives and there will be cooperation. When needed, the president will show his independence and will rush the government to work – announced Trzaskowski.

He declared that he would be focused on greater cooperation with coalition partners in the government and has much more patience than Tusk. He added that the coalition parties have a guarantee that if he wins the election, he will treat them in a fully subjective manner.

Trzaskowski also declared that he would cooperate with opposition politicians. – I will invite all leaders, including opposition parties to the National Security Council. I will reach out to them one hundred percent – he said.

Ko candidate said that in the matter of migration policy the most important for him is security, which is why – in his opinion – we must have a closed border and suspended right to asylum. ” He added that legal migration is completely different and therefore Poland should be able to decide who crosses our border.

Trzaskowski: The issue of reparations has not been clarified

Stanowski pointed out that some of Trzaskowski's investments are controversial, and the greatest controversy – as he said – are “around the price of the museum (modern art in Warsaw, cost over PLN 700 million), the toilet in Skaryszewski Park is also controversial, i.e. PLN 600,000.”

The candidate KO replied that the cost of the toilet in the park was high, because water and sewage had to be brought to the whole park. He added that in the case of the museum, the costs increased, due to the fact that two metro lines cross under the museum.

Trzaskowski also admitted that 500+ was one of the good programs prepared by PiS and – as he said – “there were people who also advised the rule of the Civic Platform.” “I'm fighting in my breast that it had to be done,” he admitted.

– limitations 800+ and again I do not want to bother about it, but I have to say, which means who introduced the system in which the gaps were? (Paweł) Szefernaker, this is the truth and there were gaps that led to the fact that 800+ was abused – said Trzaskowski.

When asked about the position on reparation for Poland from GermanTrzaskowski admitted that this issue “has not been clarified”. Referring to the emerging temporary memory of the victims of the German occupation of Poland during World War II in Berlin, he said: “They set up a stone so that we could put a flower there, but what do we care about flowers, stones in Berlin?”

“We are interested in cash,” he added. According to him, Germany should pay for rearming Polish army and arms factories.

He estimated that the new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz “at least admits” to mistakes made in German politics in the past, so – in his opinion – this is “a partner with whom you can talk”. Former chancellor Angela Merkel – As he said – “he does not admit any mistake.”

Trzaskowski also declared that “it is simply not possible for us to put the migration pact into force.”
