Until August six, Karol Nawrocki must create his office, prepare for fulfilling his duties, and the next elections before him in five years. The coalition of October 15 has no time. If he wants to think about winning the election for two and a half years, he must work on it from today. And the way to this is a good understanding of what and why it happened on Sunday.
On Rafał Trzaskowski Over 10 million Polish women and Poles voted. They are now over 10 million confused, resentful, disappointed people.
– Some call the state that is happening, such a post -election mourning – says Maja Herman, a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. – discouragement, fear, fear, fatigue. All this can cause us such emotion, depressive state – he adds. So they are looking for an answer to how it could happen. There are no simple answers here, or rather the answer is a lot. But this is not the most important thing now.
– Everyone now wants to drop responsibility on others – says prof. JarosÅ‚aw Flis, political scientist from the Jagiellonian University.
It is important to draw conclusions from failure
Searching guilty will do nothing. Will draw conclusions from failure.
– so to convince voters that this lost in presidential electionswhich is a blow, but not a disaster, does not have to be a disaster. However, in our political system it is the government who rules and the government has all the instruments, including foreign policy – indicates Edwin Bendyk, president of the Stefan Batory.
– We are, in my opinion, in the same country in which we were earlier – reminds prof. Andrzej Rychard, a sociologist from the Polish Academy of Sciences. Here, political scientists and sociologists agree. Someone must take care of calming the moods among Trzaskowski voters.

– A leader is needed, which will come out the first, name the situation that happened. But a very important thing: you have to call it honestly, because this is the moment when we are very sensitive to lie and falsehood – says Maja Herman. It looks like the prime minister Donald Tusk He took this role on himself. After the election defeat, he assured that he would not stop for a moment.
– It's a matter of Donald Tusk. As he communicates as a government and renew the leader's mandate – says Edwin Bendyk.
– We are not going to take a step back. I say to everyone who voted for RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski today: We go further – Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
Specifics are needed
This is – and here is also consent among sociologists – a message that they should hear disappointed with the results of the election. But there must also be specifics, not just the most combat words.
– You have to draw conclusions from it and change something in your behavior, and not even the same more – says JarosÅ‚aw Flis. – Because then the voters will leave forever.
– They will simply lock themselves in their careers and in their homes, and then we will lose a potentially important part of the civic electorate. And this should be targeted with the effort of RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski and the coalition – indicates Andrzej Rychard.
Therefore, instead of getting into regret, you have to call for action. Give a signal that they are still needed. – The point is that they would not go to sleep, that they still remain active. In my opinion, it is possible, if you show that, however, you still value the basic values that are important to them, i.e. citizenship, civic values - indicates Andrzej Rychard.
– More than half of the society decided and this is the democracy. If we shout “I love democracy”, this is the moment to show it – says Maja Herman. This statement – democracy works – is to help with dealing with a sense of losing. And it also gives hope for a change.
Campus has not brought a political effect
– No victory is forever. This advantage, which RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski had in the first round, was wasted for two weeks. And in fact the advantage she has Karol Nawrocki It is even smaller over RafaÅ‚ Trzaskowski, it can be discharged in two years. This is not something that determines the results of elections in Poland forever – indicates JarosÅ‚aw Flis.
Another application to draw – why the young, although they went to the urns massively, did not vote for the candidate of the democratic coalition.
– Despite the huge investment, even in Campus Polska. This is a very successful undertaking, which seemed to be the key to reaching young people, did not bring a political effect – says Edwin Bendyk.
And if so, how to change it? How to convince voters and recover those who left?
– Together, because it is not time to show that there are some breaks, but that hard, together, together and in some specific direction – says Maja Herman.
Then the democratic coalition can really gain new voters.
