The location of the hotel made the firefighting operation difficult. It stands on a steep slope. Firefighters had trouble reaching people trapped on the top floors. The facility was partly built of wood. It allegedly did not meet appropriate safety measures. People who managed to escape from the fire report that there are no working alarms and fire extinguishers, as well as problems with access to emergency exits.

An investigation has already been initiated into the case. So far, 9 people have been detained. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. When the flames appeared, 238 guests were checked into the hotel.
