Heavy rains passing through Poland are causing local flooding and forcing residents of some regions to evacuate. The situation is most difficult in the south of the country. “Firefighters, soldiers, policemen, local government officials and all state services are one hundred percent engaged in the fight against the flood. On my way to Opole Silesia I am receiving reports from those in charge of the operations, in a moment there will be a briefing in Nysa,” Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned on social media. Difficult conditions are not only in Poland. The Czech Republic and Slovenia are being flooded, and in Romania several people have already died as a result of the element.
