Customs and Tax Service officers were driving along expressway number eight when they noticed one of the cars near Tykocin (Podlaskie Voivodeship). It was driving against the flow towards them. It turned out that the driver was a 77-year-old who had made the wrong exit. It cost him dearly.
It was a huge surprise. Yesterday, officers of the Customs and Tax Service from BiaÅ‚ystok were on duty on the expressway “8” when they noticed an Opel driving towards them. The vehicle was on an exit near Tykocin, in the right-turn lane and was driving against the flow.

He said he got the wrong exit
When the officers stopped the driver, it turned out that he was a 77-year-old resident of Choroszcz.
He explained to the policemen called to the scene that he wanted to go to Choroszcz, but he took the wrong exit and drove the wrong way onto the expressway “8”.

“The mistake cost dearly. The officers imposed a fine of PLN 2,000 and 15 points,” we read in a message on the website of the Municipal Police Headquarters in BiaÅ‚ystok.
