Tyler Christopher, known from the series “City Hospital” and “Days of Our Lives”, among others, has died. The actor’s death was confirmed by his manager. “He was a very talented actor, but more importantly, a great friend,” he emphasized.
Tyler Christopher died Tuesday morning at the age of 50. His co-star, actor Maurice Benard, was the first to announce his death. On Tuesday evening, he said on social media that Christopher had died at his home in San Diego from a heart attack.
“Tyler was a truly talented individual who lit up the screen in every scene he was in and delighted in bringing joy to his loyal fans through his acting,” Benard wrote. “He was a sweet soul and a great friend to all who knew him,” he emphasized. He added that the actor openly spoke, among others: about his struggles with bipolar disorder and alcohol, and that he has advocated for the treatment of mental illness and addiction.
Christopher’s death was also confirmed by his manager Chi Muoi Lo. “This news was incredibly shocking, I am devastated by his loss. He was a very talented actor, but more importantly, a great friend. My heart goes out to his friends and family who loved him so much,” he said.

Tyler Christopher was born on November 11, 1972 in Joliet USA. He is best known for the role of Nikolas Cassadine in the soap opera “City Hospital”, where he played from 1996 to 2016. He also gained popularity thanks to his appearances in the famous series “Days of Our Lives”, which has been broadcast continuously since 1965. He appeared in it twice in the years 2001-2019, playing, among others: in the form of Stefan DiMera.
He was married to actress Eva Longoria for two years. A few years later, he married Brienne Pedigo, with whom he had two children, son Greysun and daughter Boheme. The couple divorced in 2021.
