The opposition talks about a political decision
Eddie Mutwe was arrested several times and accused of various crimes, including treason and illegal possession of weapons. The opposition claims that his arrests and accusations have a political background.
As the local media record, Mutwe was the main purpose of numerous security forces aimed at the activities of the opposition, especially during the election.
The government blames the opposition for regular clashes between civilians and security forces during the rallies organized by the opposition. The BBC points out that in Uganda along with the upcoming presidential elections, the risk of attacks on the opposition increases.
