Over half a year from the Ukrainians entered the Kurski District
The Reuters agency points out that the Deepstate map is not an official government document and it is to be – as the project claims – updated by a team of Ukrainian users based on publicly available data.
Sudża is the largest settlement on part of the Russian territory, which Ukraine took over in August last year.
Ukrainian troops, unexpectedly for Moscow, entered the Kursk region on August 6, 2024. It was then explained that one of the goals of this offensive is to force the Russians to transfer some of the forces to this region from the occupied Donbass in the east of Ukraine. Kyiv has recently controlled about 500 square kilometers of the Russian circuit.

Expert: It looks like the end of the Ukrainian presence in the Kursk region is approaching
Current events were commented by the analyst and editor -in -chief of the monthly “Nowa Military Technology” Mariusz Cielma. – It seems that the end of the Ukrainian presence in the Kurski region is approaching – certainly on the scale observed so far. In recent days, the Ukrainians gave nearly half of the territory, which they controlled at the end of February – he informed.
The expert drew attention to the great dynamics of activities in the Kurski region observed since the beginning of the year. In March there were serious changes on the front line. – Film materials available on social media show that, as a rule, the Ukrainian army carries out the retreat and one can expect even in the coming hours of loss of control by Ukrainians over the largest town gained, i.e. sudder – the expert said.
– If the city is actually taken over by the Russians, and it can be said that this is basically a certain situation, then the Ukrainians will be forced to withdraw to the summary region – said Cielma. He added that “currently there are no signs that Ukraine is able to answer it somehow reliably.”
The dynamics of the situation in the circuit expert associated with the fact that the Russians planned a good operation in this region. He also drew attention to the weakness of the Ukrainian side, e.g. when it comes to acquiring new people to fight and needs on other sections of the front.
According to Ciels, the potential loss of controls over the territory of the Kurski District by the Ukrainian forces will have political significance and can affect the morale of Ukrainians.
