The Ukrainian army has already received cluster munitions donated by the US, but we have not yet used these weapons on the battlefield, General Oleksandr Tarnavsky, commander of the Ukrainian grouping of Taurida troops, told the American CNN station. “Cluster munitions can radically change the situation (on the front),” he said.

– The enemy understands that thanks to this armament we will gain an advantage, therefore (the Russians) will give up (fighting) for areas where these missiles can be used. (…) It is a very powerful weapon. Senior management will decide where to use it, Tarnawski told CNN.

The general confirmed earlier assurances of the authorities in Kiev that the Ukrainian army would not use cluster munitions in the areas occupied by the aggressor, if civilians could suffer as a result of these actions. – The Russians believe that we will reach for cluster munitions on all sections of the front. It’s very wrong thinking, but (the invaders) are concerned about it.
