18 people, including three children, died in a helicopter crash in Brovary near Kiev. The leadership of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry was on board the helicopter. Among the victims was Interior Minister Denys Monastyrski, Ukrainian police said. At least 29 people were injured.
A total of 18 people died, including nine who were on board the helicopter. Three of the victims are children. 29 people, including 15 children, are injured, said Oleksiy Kuleba, the governor of the Kiev region, after 9 am. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
Police: the leadership of the Ministry of the Interior died in the crash
The Ukrainian police said that the leadership of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry – Minister Denys Monastyrski, his first deputy Yevheni Jenin and another deputy interior minister Yuri Lubkovych died in the crash.
The helicopter belonged to the Ukrainian ambulance service.
