The Russian occupiers encourage the inhabitants of Mariupol to visit the city’s beaches. At the same time, they declare that they have been de-mined. Meanwhile, on Friday, two people, including an eight-year-old boy, died on the beach in the explosion of a mine, the city mayor’s adviser Petro Andriushchenko announced on Sunday on social media.

“The beach is located next to the Mariupol port, already cleared by the occupiers in a show way, in the light of cameras. Later, the collaborationist mayor of Mariupol, Kostiantyn Ivashchenko, announced that there were no mines on the beaches, and the beaches were opened to visitors. The result – the death of two townspeople. “- wrote Petro Andriushchenko on Telegram.

In his opinion, the occupation authorities mainly care about the propaganda effect, and not the life and health of civilians in Mariupol. “Nice” recordings and photos (from the beach) are much more important to them “- emphasized the local government official.

Earlier on Sunday, the mayor’s advisor informed that Mariupol residents must join the queue for drinking water, and the waiting time is at least two days. “The practice of (giving) food in exchange for work has also returned. (…) Mariupol is deliberately and planned to be transformed into a ghetto for Ukrainians,” Andriushchenko assessed.

On Friday, the mayor of Mariupol, Vadym Boychenko, expressed the assumption that the number of inhabitants of the city murdered by the Russian army, estimated so far at around 22,000, could be significantly underestimated.
