Three Ukrainian ministers resigned from their posts on Tuesday, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stephanchuk said. They are the head of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilets, the Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin and the head of the Ministry of Justice Denys Maluska.

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk announced that parliamentarians will consider the ministers’ motions in the near future.

Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin has already written on his Telegram channel that despite his resignation, he will remain in the government in the defense sector. His ministry oversaw, among other things, the production of military equipment, a key issue in the era of Russian aggression.

Ukrainian media have been announcing major changes in the government since the beginning of summer.

As Reuters wrote, which also reported on the government reshuffle, Kamyshin became minister in March 2023 after demonstrating his management skills while serving as chairman of the state railways.

Five ministries remain vacant

Reuters drew attention to the fact that, taking into account previous resignations, a total of five ministries are currently without a minister.

The agency assessed that the president Volodymyr Zelensky and his entourage may wish to fill these vacancies before traveling to the United States for the September General Assembly UN.

Last week, the President of Ukraine announced that during his stay in USA hopes to meet his American counterpart Joe Bidento present him with a “victory plan” that would force Russia to finish wars in Ukraine.
