One of the citizens of China captured by Ukrainians fought for Russia for his promise – on Wednesday the portal “Ukrainian truth” told the portal. The Ukrainian army captured two Chinese, who fought on the Kremlin side in the Donetsk region.

“We have documents of these prisoners, bank cards and personal data. We have information that there are many more China citizens in the occupier units than just two” – said the president on Tuesday Ukraine Wołodymyr Zelnski through social media.

These reports were commented on by the Minister of Foreign Affairs China Lin Jian. He assured that the information was verified in cooperation with the Ukrainian side. – I would like to emphasize that the Chinese government always asks China citizens to stay away from the areas of armed conflicts, avoid all forms of involvement in military operations, and in particular avoid participation in military operations of any parties – said Lin during a regular press briefing.

“Chinese citizen, taken prisoner by Ukrainian soldiers during the fighting near Biłhoriwka (in the Donetsk region of Ukraine), said that he joined the Russian army through an intermediary in China, paying 300,000 rubles,” revealed the portal “Ukrainian truth” on Wednesday, citing the Ukrainian unit that took Chinese.

“He was motivated by the promise of Russian citizenship and underwent military training in the occupied Lugansk region – without a translator, using gestures and telephone,” writes the portal.

Zelanski announced that captured China citizens are in the detention of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and investigative and operational activities are carried out against them.
