485 bodies were recovered from sections of the front in the Donetsk, Luhansk and Zaporizhia regions, and the bodies of 17 fallen were brought from morgues in Russia.
To the previous exchange of bodies of dead soldiers between Ukraine and Russia occurred on November 8. Then the Ukrainian Coordination Staff for Prisoners of War reported that Kiev had recovered 563 bodies of fallen soldiers.
It is not known how many Ukrainians and Russians died or were injured in the war on both sides of the front. None of the countries presents full statistics so as not to reveal the personnel of the army. Ukraine cannot do this, because having fewer potential soldiers would reveal what human resources it still has. Russia, in turn, is afraid of the disastrous effect of disclosing data about the dead, because it would probably turn out that there are many more of them than on the Ukrainian side.
Western experts and investigative journalists have presented very different statistics on the war since February 2022. Nearly a million people were probably killed or injured on both sides of the conflict.
The General Staff of Ukraine, in a morning statement on November 29, stated that Russian losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion amounted to over 738,000 “eliminated” enemies, i.e. dead or wounded Russian soldiers.
