Ukraine-Russia. Russian media: two Ukrainian Patriots destroyed. Ukrainian general: they are fakes


The Russian Defense Ministry, cited by media on Sunday, reported the destruction of two Patriot systems in Ukraine. Ukrainian General Mykola Oleshchuk said on Saturday that the Russians had hit dummy versions of the equipment. He showed a recording that purportedly showed the attacks.

Russian media, citing the Defense Ministry, reported on Sunday that Russian forces had destroyed two Patriot missile systems in Ukraine. According to the Defense Ministry Russia Iskander missile destroyed two Patriot systems near the city of Yuzhne in Odessa Oblast.

On Saturday evening, General Mykola Oleshchuk, commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, showed captured footage from Russian drones, which – as he wrote on Telegram – showed an Iskander hitting a dummies of this weapon.

“I am showing two fresh enemy attacks using Iskander-Ms, recorded by Russian reconnaissance drones. Dolhintseve airport (Kryvyi Rih – July 3) and Yuzhne region (Odessa region – July 6),” the general said.

“Thank you to everyone who helps with high-quality models of aircraft and missile systems. The enemy has fewer Iskanders, and we are waiting for deliveries of dummies,” Oleszczuk added.

Patriot systems have been sent to Ukraine so far USA, Germany and NetherlandsThe next one is to pass Romania. President Volodymyr Zelensky assessed that Ukraine needs at least seven such systems to defend the country.
