Russian general Vladimir Zavadsky died during the war in Ukraine after stepping on a mine, the independent Russian portal Vazhnye Istorii reported on Wednesday, citing information from the organization of graduates of the Moscow Military Higher Command School.
“Russian Major General Vladimir Zavadsky has died. He is the seventh serviceman of this rank whose death has been confirmed in the Russian Federation,” the Russian portal Vazhnye Istorii reported on Telegram, citing the statement of the organization of graduates of the Moscow Military Higher Command School.
The major general was the deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps of the Russian Federation, the Belarusian pro-Russian portal Gusar News reported. “According to the source, Zawadski was blown up by a mine,” it added.
