Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have repelled enemy attacks in several directions, the General Staff in Kiev reported on Thursday morning. The most difficult situation remains in the area of Avdiivka and Marjinka, where over 40 enemy attacks were repelled.
The Thursday report of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that 120 combat clashes took place on the front in the last 24 hours. “In total, the enemy carried out 17 missile attacks and 36 airstrikes, and fired at the positions of Ukrainian troops 74 times from multi-launch launchers,” the headquarters said in a post on Facebook.
The report shows that the most difficult situation remains in the area of the city of Avdiivka, located near occupied Donetsk, as well as in the Marjinka area, where over 40 attacks by Russian forces were repelled.
The Russians also attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops also in the Kupany direction in the Kharkiv Oblast.
On the left bank of the Dnieper
Natalia Humenyuk, spokeswoman for the Ukrainian forces in the south of the country, said on Thursday that Ukrainian troops still maintain their positions on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson Oblast.
According to her, the occupiers concentrated several dozen thousand soldiers and a large amount of equipment in this area.
Earlier, the media in Kiev reported, citing military experts, that the Russians were creating a multi-level defense on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson Oblast. They also mined the area around the village of Krynki, where the Ukrainians had dug in.
The Ukrainian headquarters reported that 1,300 Russian soldiers were killed in the last 24 hours. The Russian army’s human losses since the beginning of the armed invasion reached 342,800.
According to the Ukrainian headquarters, during the last 24 hours the Russians also lost ten tanks, 22 armored vehicles and 12 artillery systems on the front.
