On Thursday, Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Kupyansk defense command post, where he honored Ukrainian soldiers. The President of Ukraine also discussed the needs of soldiers, such as radar warfare assets, drones, defense against enemy drones and the condition of fortifications.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky On Thursday, he visited the Kupyansk defense command post in the Kharkiv region in the north-east of the country, where he honored Ukrainian soldiers.

“It is an honor to visit and honor the soldiers. Soldiers in the Kupany direction defend the peaceful life of Ukrainians – residents of the Kharkiv region. I thank the soldiers for their service and for defending our country,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram.

Zelensky, together with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, listened to, among others: reports of the commander of the Ukrainian land forces, General Oleksandr Syrski, on the operational situation on this sector of the front. Further combat operations were also discussed, including the defense of the Kupiańsk-Łyman line.

The president also discussed the needs of soldiers, such as radar warfare assets, drones, defense against enemy drones and the condition of fortifications.

Zelensky decorated five soldiers and handed over 18 more decorations to be presented at the place of service.
