Demchenko also said that Russia uses Belarus as a training ground for their forces.

Until recently, we recorded about two and a half thousand military personnel, but now another rotation has taken place and practically all Russian military personnel have been removed from Belarus, the spokesman of the Ukrainian border guard said.

According to Demchenko, however, it cannot be ruled out that more Russian military personnel will soon be sent to Belarus as part of the next rotation.

Demchenko also announced that the Ukrainian side had not observed any organized transfer of Russian mercenaries from Yevgeny Prigozhin’s Wagner Group to Belarus.

On Friday, the Ministry of Defense in Minsk announced that the Wagnerians were already in Belarus. According to the communiqué, “they started training the Belarusian territorial defense forces at the Osipowicze training ground in the Mogilev region.”
