Ukraine carried out the largest drone attack on Moscow on Sunday morning. Local authorities reported that at least 32 unmanned ships were used and one person was injured. Moscow's largest airport was temporarily closed and restrictions were introduced at three others.

Ukraine attacked Moscow on Sunday morning with at least 32 drones, one person was injured – local authorities reported. This is the largest Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow to date.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that all Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the Ramenskoye and Kolomenskoye districts of the Moscow Oblast, as well as in the city of Domodedovo, southwest of Moscow.

The capital's largest airport, Sheremetyevo, was temporarily closed, and restrictions were also introduced at Domodedovo, Zhukovsky and Vnukovo airports.

The governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, announced on Telegram that one person was injured as a result of the Ukrainian attack.

Previously the largest Ukrainian one drone attack on Moscow took place in September, when the capital Russia was attacked by 20 unmanned machines.

Ukrainian drones in two Russian oblasts

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Ukrainian drones also attacked the Bryansk and Kaluga oblasts. Several residential buildings went up in flames. “Emergency services and fire brigades are on site,” wrote Alexander Bogomaz, governor of the Bryansk region bordering Ukraine, on Telegram, but he did not provide details.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian air defense destroyed a total of 23 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 17 over Bryansk.

Vladislav Shapsha, governor of the Kaluga Oblast, which borders the Moscow Oblast, announced that a non-residential building in the region caught fire as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack.
