Ukrainians destroyed two Wałdaj radar systems that were stationed by Moscow's suburbs – the Ukrainian military intelligence informed. The unit that served destroyed systems is responsible for the safety of the airspace over the Russian capital.
“On the night of February 6-7, 2025, there was a strong explosion at the 52116 military unit in the city of Dołgoprudnyj near Moscow. The explosion was destroyed by two Russian radars Wałdaj, intended for 24 -hour automatic detection and prevention of drones,” said Hur in a telegram. Dołgoprudnyj is located about 20 kilometers from the center of the Russian capital.
Military intelligence added that Wałdaj is the latest achievement of the Russian military-industrial complex, the first model in its class that was admitted to service in the army of the Russian Federation.
It was also noted that the military unit, where radar systems were destroyed, is responsible for the safety of the airspace over Moscow.
