PZPN has just surprised by deciding to move the Polish national team out of the National Stadium. This is unofficial information to which the federation commented casually. – There will be a meeting of the PZPN management board on Tuesday, where possible decisions may be made. After its completion, in case of any changes, an official announcement will be issued – said Emil Kopański, spokesman for the Polish national team. Another important decision was also made during the meeting.
The Polish Football Association planned to change the date of the election for the president. All because of changes in law
This year, Cezary Kulesza's four-year term as president of the federation comes to an end. Initially, the elections were to be held in August, but the plan changed after the announced amendment to the Sports Act.
One of the points of the project is the introduction of gender quotas on the management boards of sports associations (the 18-person PZPN management board would have to include at least six women and at least six men). The time to adapt to the requirements was supposed to be half a year, but to gain even more time, the Polish Football Association planned to speed up the election of the president. Ultimately, the act was sent back by President Andrzej Duda to the Constitutional Tribunal, which may mean that it will only come into force after some time, but the federation is implementing its plan.
