Urgent message from the State Fire Service: “A no-fly zone has been designated over the Odra River for unmanned aerial vehicles. This also applies to paragliders, gliders and even kites. We appeal to respect the no-fly rule!” – we read in a statement published on platform X.
The State Fire Service added that in the 10 km zone from the Odra River, drones operated by the fire brigade and other services to monitor the condition of the flood embankments. “Breaking this rule poses a threat to rescuers and people working on the embankments, It disorganizes work and makes it difficult or even impossible to monitor the area,” it added.
The latest statement from the Ministry of National Defense: More than 23 thousand soldiers are involved in flood-related operations. Another 3 thousand soldiers are on standby. As reported by Deputy Minister of National Defense Cezary Tomczyk, the largest number of soldiers have been mobilized troops operational – almost 14 thousand people and soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces – over 8 thousand. Officers of the Military Police and soldiers from the Warsaw Garrison Command and military academies were also involved in the fight against the flood. In total, over 26 thousand soldiers were assigned to the operation.
