Latest pre-election pollcommissioned by USA Today and Suffolk University, shows that support for Wrong Harris is holding up. The Democratic candidate won 48 percent support, and Donald Trump 43 – percent.

The authors of the study also emphasize that the five percentage point advantage that Harris has, are within the margin of statistical error.

“Young people, people of color and low-income households have turned dramatically toward the vice president,” said David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Political Research Center, which commissioned the survey.

Paleologos also emphasized that Kamala Harris is a breath of fresh air in US politics. She is much younger than Biden or Trump, is a woman and has South Asian descent. For many voters, especially those of color, these are key features.

A poll for the Wall Street Journal shows that Harris is enjoying a more positive image from her competitor. In July, however, the number of negative assessments was 23 percentage points higher than at present.

Trump's negative assessment 53 percent declare this, while 45 percent say they are positive. The survey also shows that Democratic voters are more enthusiastic about their party's candidate (90 percent) than Republicans about their candidate (82 percent).
