Rain and hail were falling from the ceiling in one of the supermarkets in the US state of Wisconsin. A window in the roof was damaged during the storm. The CBS News website said the town of Rice Lake, where the incident occurred, “appeared to be the epicenter of the hailstorm.”
On Wednesday, Wisconsin was hit by rain and storms hail. In the northwestern town of Rice Lake, hail broke through a roof window at a Walmart store. Rain and hail falling into the supermarket were recorded by one of the people in the store at the time. The short video shows a wet floor.
After this, the store was closed. There are no reports of injured people.
The US National Weather Service (NWS) said on Twitter that hailstones the size of tennis balls were reported in the city.

As CBS News reported, “Rice Lake appeared to be the epicenter of the hailstorm, giving the backyard a Christmas vibe.” The hail turned the lawns so white it looked as if snow had fallen.
The station reported that at one point, 50,000 residents in western Wisconsin and Minnesota were without power due to the storms.
