Police officers in Norfolk, Nebraska received an unusual call Wednesday morning. It concerned a man driving on Highway 275, and more precisely, an unusual passenger who was traveling with him.

Lee Meyer, a resident of Neligh, Nebraska, was driving on Highway 275 Wednesday with his Watussi bull. Howdy Doody, because that was his name, was huge. To make it fit in the car, the passenger side door was replaced with a metal barrier typically found in cattle sheds.

“We thought it was going to be a calf or something small, something that would fit in a vehicle,” police Capt. Chad Reiman told News Channel Nebraska Northeast.

Fortunately, both the driver of the car and the bull behaved very calmly during the police check. The intervention ended with a warning and an instruction. The man and the bull later returned home.
