The Municipal Public Security Office said that during the storm there were problems with the operation of the Emergency Notification Center – the connections made to the number 911 did not reach the services. According to the Local Office of the National Weather Service (NWS), Tuesday's storm brought one of the strongest gusts of wind that has ever been observed in Pennsylvania. At the airport in Pittsburgh, a gust at 114.7 km/h was recorded, the third fastest in the history of observation.
