The magazine explained then that both Alec Baldwin and director Joel Souza, who was shot on the set, would return to the set. Now Fox News is reporting that the cast and crew will reunite on set on Thursday, April 20. As previously announced, Rust will be filmed at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Montana. Sky News emphasizes that this is an ideal place for shooting westerns. On the farm, a town matching the films of this genre was recreated. There are 28 buildings in it, including prison, church or traditional American saloon. According to Sky News, the shooting is expected to take 20 to 25 days. The crew of a documentary film about the tragically deceased operator will also be on the set. “Real weapons and real ammo will be prohibited. Real ammo is, and has always been, banned on set,” Melina Spadone, a lawyer for Rust Movie Productions, said in a statement released to the media.

The tragedy on the set of the movie “Rust” happened almost exactly one and a half years ago, on October 21, 2021. While filming at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, the state capital of New York Mexico in the southern United States, Hutchins she was fatally shot with a pistol held by Baldwin. Director Joel Souza was also injured. After the tragedy, work on the film was suspended.

Last fall, CNN reported that Alec Baldwin had reached a settlement with the family of the shot cameraman. Under the agreement, work on the film was to resume in January. However, on January 19, New Mexico prosecutors announced that the actor would be charged with involuntary manslaughter. Baldwin heard him two weeks later. The same allegation rests with Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for the safe use of weapons on the set. both is punishable by up to 18 months in prison. Fox News reports that Baldwin is scheduled to appear in court on May 3.
