The Ohio-class submarine has arrived in its “area of responsibility” that includes the eastern Mediterranean, the Red Sea, the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, U.S. Central Command said.
Ohio-class ships are nuclear-powered vessels equipped with missiles with nuclear warheads.
In a Sunday statement from the Central Command of the Forces USA (US Central Command), published, among others, on the X platform (formerly Twitter), it was not stated where the ship was located. The attached photo shows that the unit is probably in the Suez Canal, connecting the Red Sea with the Mediterranean Sea, the Times of Israel reported.

Hello strategy
As the website notes, the ship’s arrival may be part of the same strategy under which two strike groups of US ships with aircraft carriers have already been sent to this area.
– the portal emphasizes – they are intended to deter Iran and groups subordinated to it, including Lebanese Hezbollah, from attacking Israel conducting offensive operations in Gaza against Hamas.
