Former US President Donald Trump said he would be “arrested” on Tuesday. In a post posted on his social network, Truth Social referred to a “leak” from the New York prosecutor’s office, but did not provide evidence. He called on his supporters to demonstrate against a possible charge against him for paying a porn star to keep silent about their sexual contacts.

Referring to the “leak” from the New York State’s Attorney’s Office for the District of Manhattan, the former president USA wrote that “a Republican Party candidate who is ahead of his rivals in the primaries and has been the president of the United States of America America will be arrested on Tuesday next week.” “Demonstrate, take back our people,” he urged.

Donald Trump did not provide evidence confirming the leak from the prosecutor’s office and did not explain what possible charges could be brought against him.

The New York prosecutor’s office said it would not comment on Trump’s comments.

Confidential payments to a porn star

For several days, media speculation has been multiplying about the possibility of an indictment of Donald Trump by the grand jury as part of the investigation led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

Earlier this month, the prosecutor invited Donald Trump to testify. According to the New York Times, he can hear, among others: allegations of making confidential payments to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Trump called the allegations a “witch hunt.” – I have never had an affair with Stormy Daniels nor would I want to have an affair with Stormy Daniels. This is a political witch hunt trying to disqualify a top candidate,” Trump argued.

Daniels admitted to having a sexual relationship with Trump, Reuters reported. She claims she was paid $130,000 for concealing it before the 2016 presidential election. Trump’s former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has already been sentenced to three years in prison for arranging clandestine payments to Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Last year, Cohen testified at least twice before a grand jury.

Donald Trump is not giving up his candidacy

The former president, who announced that he will run for president again, has announced that he will not withdraw from the race for the highest office in the country even if he is impeached.
