The wife of 59-year-old Rex Heuermann, detained in connection with serial killings more than a decade ago, has just filed for divorce in court, her lawyer told her. In 2010 and 2011, bodies of murdered young women were found on the beach in Gilgo Beach near New York. Heuermann has already been charged with three homicides.
As explained to NBC News, lawyer Robert Macedonio, representing Heuermann’s wife, said that on Wednesday, July 19, he filed the relevant documents on behalf of his client in Suffolk County Court.
