How Donald Trump will organize our world, part 2. Are we facing a clash of giants?
The US media has already dubbed him “co-president”. For several months now, he has almost always appeared with Donald Trump. Not in the shadow, not a step or two behind the president-elect, but at his side. Maybe even like… equal? Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, is entering politics this way. Will he stay there for long? And how much will it depend on Donald Trump valuing loyalty?
If we think we have an interesting year 2024 behind us, what can we say about the year that is just beginning? When trying to forecast anything, we would certainly like to know not only who will become the next president of Poland, but also whether (and how) it will end in 2025 war in Ukraine and in the Middle East, what will happen with the global crises – migration and climate – and what will the second term bring us? Donald Trumpwho will be sworn in on January 20.
In the first part of my predictions about how Donald Trump will shape our world, I wrote, among other things, that:
- the election result in the USA was largely influenced by high prices and the Republican candidate's promise to fight inflation;
- today's loud and broad announcements of the introduction of tariffs, with which Trump threatens China, Canada and Mexico, may look different in practice;
- Ukraine and NATO cannot be sure of an American ally when Trump returns to the Oval Office.
Today I want to take a closer look at the situation in the United States itself. What internal enemies has the new American elite already found and will still find? Is a billionaire Elon Musk Is it part of it, or does it rise above it? What did Americans who supported Donald Trump really vote for: for his large and controversial projects or simply for what was best for their wallets?
I invite you on a journey around America almost on the eve of Donald Trump's inauguration.
