The United States will announce a large package of sanctions against Russia on Friday, US President Joe Biden announced. Earlier on Tuesday, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the new sanctions would also be a response to “all of Moscow’s actions that are part of the cruel and brutal war that has been going on for two years” in Ukraine.

Sanctions as a response to “all Moscow’s actions”

Earlier on Tuesday, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said the new sanctions would also be a response to “all of Moscow’s actions that are part of the cruel and brutal war that has been going on for two years” in Ukraine.

Kirby also said that “regardless of what story the Russian government chooses to tell the world, it is clear that President Putin and his government are responsible for it.” He also called for “full transparency from the Russian government” in explaining the circumstances death of the leader of the Russian opposition.
