Heavy rain has hit southern Nevada. The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for central Clark County, including the city of Las Vegas. The streets of the city associated primarily with gambling turned into raging torrents.

The NWS reported that more than 60 liters per square foot of rain fell near Interstate 15 at Charleston Boulevard.

The rainy season in Las Vegas typically lasts from June to mid-September, as the land warms and moist air moves inland from the Pacific Ocean.
