During his speech at the Capital One Arena, Donald Trump repeated his election announcements regarding the launch of the largest deportation campaign in the history of the United States. However, as Reuters notes, an operation on such a scale would likely take years and be extremely expensive.

“When the sun sets tomorrow evening, the invasion of our borders will be over and all illegal border crossers, in one form or another, will be on their way home,” Trump told his supporters.

Trump: He will solve every crisis

As Reuters described, Trump's rally “resembled the free-form campaign speeches that are a fixture of the Trump campaign.”

During his hour-long speech, Trump mostly repeated his campaign promises and said he had accomplished more than that before taking office Joe Biden during his four years as president and promised to “solve every single crisis America faces.”

Announcing the signing of dozens of regulations on Monday, he mentioned that he would launch the largest immigrant deportation operation in the country's history, repeal “every radical and stupid regulation of the Biden administration”, reform the federal bureaucracy by abolishing policies promoting inclusiveness and equal rights, and order the declassification of documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and his brother, Robert F. Kennedy, and the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

Trump repeated his promise to end war in Ukraine and “avoiding World War III”, on the threshold of which, in his opinion, America is.

“If I don't give permission, TikTok will be worth next to nothing.”

He also referred to the restoration of TikTok on Sunday after a break of several hours USA. As he stated – although some congressmen from his party do not agree with him – the bill banning TikTok allows him “to do whatever he wants” and repeated that he intends to allow the application to operate, but as part of a joint venture in which half of the shares will be owned by the United States.

– If I don't give permission, TikTok will be worth nothing – zero (…) If I give permission, TikTok will be worth a trillion dollars. So, I said, 'I'll give the go-ahead, but let the United States of America own 50 percent of TikTok,'” Trump said.

He also stated that he likes the Chinese application because it helped him obtain record support results among the youngest electorate. According to ABC, TikTok CEO Shou Chew was in the audience at the rally and will also be present at Trump's inauguration on Monday.

During his speech, Trump called billionaire Elon Musk on stage, who is to lead the so-called Department of State Efficiency (DOGE), proposing radical bureaucratic reforms and cost cutting. Musk announced that the changes he will propose “will lay the foundation for America to be strong for centuries, forever.”

In addition to Musk, during the three-hour event, there were also appearances by a number of Trump's advisers and supporters, his sons, actor Jon Voight, as well as singers Kid Rock and Lee Greenwood, who are also known for their support. The event ended with a performance by the Village People, who, together with Trump, performed their hit “YMCA”, which Trump always closes his campaign rallies with.

The inauguration will begin with an Anglican service in the church of St. John's Square across from the White House, after which Trump and his wife, Melania, will meet with outgoing President Joe Biden and first lady Jill. The culmination of the ceremony, i.e. Trump taking the oath and officially starting his presidency, is to take place at noon (6 p.m. in Poland). Due to the weather, the ceremony will take place not on the steps in front of the entrance to the Capitol, but inside the Capitol Rotunda. For the first time in history, foreign leaders will watch the ceremony on site.
