From Friday afternoon to Saturday morning, 14 people were shot in more than a dozen shootings in New York City, two of them fatally, police said. Two suspects in the killings have been arrested, others are wanted, according to local media.

According to officials, the shootings took place between 2.30pm on Friday and 5am on Saturday, local time. Five each occurred in the Brooklyn and Bronx boroughs, and four in Queens. According to the Daily News, the bloodshed began on Friday afternoon in the Bronx outside the Popeyes restaurant. Of the several people shot, two died as a result of their injuries.
