A jury in the state court in Manhattan, New York has decided in the criminal case of Donald Trump. The verdict is expected to be announced soon. These are allegations of concealing expenses in the form of paying porn actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 so that she would not reveal information about their alleged affair to the media.

Approximately At 10.40 p.m., the BBC reported that after reaching the verdict, jury members need about 30 minutes to complete the documents needed to announce the decision.

Ex-president USA is accused in a case involving paying, through Michael Cohen, porn actress Stormy Daniels $130,000 during the 2016 election campaign so that she would not reveal information about their alleged affair to the media.

Prosecutors accuse Trump of trying to illegally disguise these expenses as payment for legal services to his then-lawyer Michael Cohen, who brokered the deal. This carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison, although most experts do not expect a prison sentence if the former president is convicted. Cohen himself was convicted of, among others, in this case in 2018 and spent three years behind bars.

The New York trial is one of four in which prosecutors brought criminal charges against him. However, it will probably be the only one that will end before November elections. If Trump wins, he will be able to order the dropping of charges against him in cases involving the illegal retention of secret documents and attempts to illegally stay in power. However, he will still face charges from the state prosecutor's office in Georgia, which accused him of leading a criminal group aimed at staying in power despite losing the 2020 elections.
