Shortly after taking off from an airport near Houston in the US state of Texas, a passenger plane with 21 people on board crashed on Tuesday. According to local authorities, one person was slightly injured and the rest were okay. Shortly after the evacuation of passengers, the plane burned to the ground.
According to CBS television, the accident occurred during the take-off of a private MD-87 plane, which rammed the fence surrounding the Houston Executive Airport and began to burn. There were 21 people on board the machine. They all had time to leave the machine before it burned to the ground.
One person sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.
The plane belonged to the owner of a local construction company and was scheduled to fly to Boston.
