The people of the USA are struggling with the effects of violent weather, but they also need to prepare for more dangers. They are threatened by storms, tornadoes and heat. Warnings have been issued for over 50 million people in the southern part of the country.

More than 350,000 buildings from Texas and Oklahoma to Tennessee are without power. This is the result of record-breaking heat that hit the southern part of the USA. Residents have been warned against the temperature felt at the level of 45-50 degrees Celsius, among others. Houston, San Antonio, Brownsville and Dallas, reports CNN.

Heat advisories were issued for most of Texas, Louisiana, southern New Mexico and Mississippi. According to the assessment of the meteorological service, hail and individual tornadoes may also appear.

More than 50 million people in the southern part of the country were affected by the warnings.

Already on Monday morning, violent weather took its toll in the US. Potential tornadoes have been observed in several areas of Florida, including the city of Destin and the settlement of Miramar Beach. A tornado in the Santa Rosa Beach area was confirmed by the weather service.

A tornado could also hit the Moss Point, Mississippi area. The media reports about several damaged buildings.

Dangerous weather in Mississippi

Strong wind warnings were issued in the wake of Sunday’s severe winds thunderstorms in Mississippi. A tornado passed through the city of Louin. The maximum wind speed reached 150 kilometers per hour. As a result, at least one person was killed and 25 injured.
