Cieszyn policemen are explaining the circumstances of a road accident in Ustroń (Silesia), in which a 29-year-old cyclist died on Friday evening. The man crashed into a passenger seat, police said.
Krzysztof Pawlik, the spokesman of the police in Cieszyn, announced on Saturday that a tragic accident took place in Ustroń late in the evening.
– The cyclist and the driver of the seat were moving along the Ustroń section of the provincial road 941 in the direction of Skoczów. There was a collision near one of the intersections. The cyclist was killed instantly. The 32-year-old passenger car driver was sober. The vehicles will be subjected to a detailed visual inspection. The exact course of the event and the circumstances of the accident will be explained by the policemen from the criminal department of the Cieszyn command – Pawlik said.
The policeman called for prudence and caution. – A moment of inattention can lead to a tragedy. It is extremely important that both drivers and cyclists obey the road signs and be aware of applicable regulations. In particular, we ask cyclists to be reasonable, imaginative and responsible while driving, and drivers of vehicles to pay special attention to cyclists, because they have no chance of colliding with our car – said the spokesman of the Cieszyn police.
