There was a gas leak in a kindergarten in Ustronie Morskie (West Pomeranian Voivodeship). It was necessary to evacuate children and employees of the building. Nothing happened to anyone.
The incident took place on Thursday (December 12). At around 12:40, the services were notified about the smell of gas in the public kindergarten in Ustronie Morskie.
– The fire brigade that arrived at the site found the presence of gas in the kitchen room – said senior captain Krzysztof Azierski from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in KoÅ‚obrzeg.
83 children and 17 employees were evacuated
The kindergarten management decided to evacuate everyone who was in the building – 83 children and 17 kindergarten employees.
– Police officers and the gas emergency service are on site to determine a possible leak. Parents are notified, they pick up their children, and preschoolers whose parents cannot be taken home now are at a nearby school. Nothing happened to anyone, said senior captain. Krzysztof Azierski.
