On Sunday morning, the rescue services resumed the search for a teenager who, while bathing in Biebrza near Mścichy (Podlaskie Voivodeship), disappeared under the surface of the water and did not emerge, the police said. The incident took place on Saturday, the search conducted that day until dusk yielded no results.

Podlasie police spokesman Tomasz Krupa announced on Sunday (June 11) that after 7 p.m. on Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was bathing in Biebrza near Mścichy (Radziłów commune). He was in the water with a friend. According to his account, at some point the boy in front of him disappeared under the water and did not resurface.

On Saturday, firefighters and police officers, among others, searched for with the participation of divers, ended around 10 pm due to darkness. They resumed around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
