Strong winds are possible on Tuesday morning in parts of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Warnings issued by the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management apply.
Forecasters of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first-level warnings on a three-level, ascending scale.
IMWM warnings – strong wind
Yellow alerts against strong winds are in force in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the following counties: Słupsk, Lębork, Wejherowo and Puck.
It is expected to blow at an average speed of up to 45 kilometers per hour, with gusts of up to 85 km/h, from the south-west and west.
The warnings will be valid until 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
What are IMWM first degree warnings?
The first level warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life. Conducting business in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from carrying out activities in the hazardous area, including delays caused by traffic disruptions, disruptions to outdoor events or the possibility of their cancellation. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and developments in the weather situation.
